One of the four northeast communities which make up “The Properties” is Temple. It is a large community of 11,000 people located south of McKnight Blvd NE, between 52 St NE and 68 St NE, to the north of its sister community, Pineridge. It is a low density residential community with a young, multi-cultural population.
Home styles are predominantly single family detached, with a mix of side-by-side duplexes, town homes and condo apartments. Homes were constructed throughout the 1970s and many have the original exteriors, however most homes offered for sale have been upgraded and renovated to some degree.

About Temple Real Estate
Temple offers moderately priced real estate at an average selling price of $360,000 to $395,000 with some town homes priced in the $235,000 range. Homes of 1970s vintage feature stucco or wood exteriors and many homes have had furnaces and hot water tanks replaced and roofs reshingled.
Bungalows, bi-level and split-level homes have 1,000 to 1,800 square feet of living space with front drive garages or detached garages off the back lanes, there are few condominiums in Temple. There are several parks in the neighbourhood connected by pathways. Temple is close to the airport and the industrial/warehouse areas of northeast Calgary.
Temple Community Features
There are shopping and convenience stores along the perimeter of Temple with groceries and gas stations, and restaurants which cater to the ethnic nature of the area. Templegreen Park in the centre of the community has several baseball diamonds and an outdoor hockey rink next to the community centre, where the association runs a preschool.
Other recreational amenities include the Village Square Leisure Centre, Genesis Place and Prairie Winds Regional Park. There are several schools within walking distance in Temple, such as Annie Foote and Guy Weadick Elementary Schools, and St. Thomas More and Father Scollen Separate Schools.
