Formerly part of the MD of Rocky View, Springbank Hill is a large suburban community on the south western edge of the city. Built along a northward slope, Springbank Hill is north of Glenmore Trail/Highway 8 and south of 17 Ave SW, between 69 St SW and 101 St SW. The population is 10,000 and includes the sub-communities of Springborough, Summit of Montreux, Anatapi and Spring Valley. There are original acreage homes which have been incorporated into the new community which was developed beginning in 1994. It is an upscale neighbourhood of single family detached homes and condos.

About Springbank Hill Real Estate
Springbank Hill is a beautiful family-oriented neighbourhood where 94% of the population is under the age of 65! Community landscaping takes full advantage of the topography and incorporates natural aspen groves and grasslands. With the exception of estate homes which were in the area prior to development, homes are built on deep but narrow lots. The average price for a single family home is between $900,000 to $950,000 and condos average $350,000 to $400,000 in price. The community association is a large and active one, providing social and recreation programs for families. It operates a community garden and encourages residents to keep beautiful yards with an annual gardening contest.

Even with Glenmore Trail/Highway 8 running along the southern edge of the community, Springbank Hill is a tranquil community far from busy freeways. Yet, downtown is only 20-minutes away and the train is available on the north east corner of the neighbourhood at 69 St SW. Across from the LRT station is Westside Rec Centre and next door is Ernest Manning Senior High School. There is a fire hall in the community and shopping to the north along 69 St SW in Strathcona and Aspen Landing on 85 St SW. Springbank Hill has churches and several private schools in the community.
