Rundle is one of the four northeast communities which make up the area known as “The Properties”.  Each of these areas was constructed during the building boom of the 1970s and was named for a mountain in the Alberta Rockies.  Rundle is between 36 St NE and 52 St NE, north of the Trans-Canada Highway and south of 32 Ave NE.

Like many of the communities in Calgary’s northeast, Rundle is a community of diversity with many cultures and nationalities represented in the population of 12,000 people.  Sunridge Mall is located on the west side of the neighbourhood and the community is served by the Rundle LRT Station.

There’s a large greenspace running through the centre of the neighbourhood, shared by two schools: St. Rupert Elementary and Dr. Gordon Higgins Junior High School.  Major roads to the north and south of Rundle take commuters directly to Deerfoot Trail to the west or across the city to the University of Calgary.
