Mahogany is a lake community in the deep south quadrant of Calgary. It is south of Marquis de Lorne Trail (Stoney Trail) to 196 Ave SE, and is west of 52 Street SE. This new district is still under construction and buyers can still choose a home site and builder.
Founded in 2007 by Hopewell Residential Communities, future plans for this suburban neighbourhood in the southeast are to incorporate the original homestead buildings in this area into the community. Other future plans include a freeway on the east side of the community, and build-out of the LRT.

About Mahogany Real Estate
Mahogany, Calgary already has a population of 2,700 residents with room in the community for another 4,000 people. There are a variety of home styles and price ranges in Mahogany, including upscale homes around the lake and on man-made islands.
All homes have lake privileges and access to the park around the lake, with a sandy beach, children’s play areas and boat launch. Mahogany has 265 acres reserved for green space, protected wetlands and pathways, including a 13-acre public park in the centre of the neighbourhood.
Mahogany Community Features
Mahogany is right on Stoney Trail, a six-lane ring road expressway to downtown, the airport and to the Trans-Canada Highway. A new regional shopping plaza is on the books for 52 St SE, but there is great shopping north at South Trail Crossing and west in Shawnessy. A new recreation centre is planned for nearby Seton.
Cardel Recreation Centre and Trico Centre are 15 minutes away. Mahogany is very close to the new South Calgary Health Campus Hospital. Land has been set aside for schools and in the meantime, students are provided with bus service to established schools in neighbouring communities
