Contained within the community of Lakeview is Lakeview Village, built in the early 1960s as a premium and exclusive neighbourhood. The Village is on the south side of the community, between North Glenmore Park and 66 Ave SW, between Crowchild Trail (24 St SW) and 37 St SW. The land was annexed by the City of Calgary in the early 1950s and construction on the community began in 1960.

The Lakeview Village neighbourhood provides residents with easy access to nearby amenities. Crowchild Trail provides instant access to Glenmore Trail which connects to Sarcee Trail to the west and Deerfoot Trail to the East. There is a shopping plaza in Lakeview with groceries, restaurants, quick serve foods, bank, chiropractor, salon, barbershop and more. Nearby Westhills is a full service shopping centre and Chinook Centre is five minutes to the east.
Schools in Lakeview have expansive grounds and enhance the park-like setting of the community. However the highlight of life in The Village is living next to North Glenmore Park, a highly popular picnic destination. There are shelters, washrooms, picnic tables, barbecues, fire pits and playgrounds, and some areas can be booked for group functions through the City of Calgary.
Designated schools in the community are Jennie Elliot, Calgary Connect Charter School, Bishop Pinkham Junior High School, St. James Catholic Elementary and Junior High School. Central Memorial High School is just a ten-minute walk north.
