The intimate community of Kelvin Grove in south west Calgary is a smaller community built on the former site of a market garden. It is located between Elbow Dr SW and 14 St SW, south from Glenmore Trail to 75 Ave SW. Kelvin Grove real estate features larger-than-average luxury homes on extra wide lots, many of them designed and constructed by custom builders in the early 1960s. Some of the original trees were saved when the community was built.
Kelvin Grove is a spacious community, with wide grassy boulevards, sidewalks on both sides of the streets, cul-de-sacs, peaceful crescents and a beautiful large park.

There are several schools in the neighbourhood, such as Chinook Park Elementary School and Henry Wise Wood Senior High School which both share the large field by the community centre. Junior high school students attend Woodman Junior High or St. Augustine’s Catholic Elementary/Junior High School just across Elbow Drive.
