Capitol Hill, Calgary is an older community located in the city's central northwest. The community was dotted with homes when it was annexed to Calgary before WWI. It remained sparsely populated until the late 1940s. As a result there is a tremendous mix of century-old homes, older bungalows and with redevelopment, new luxury infills. Capitol Hill real estate is bounded by 16 Ave NW to the south, Confederation Park to the north and book ended by 19ST NW on the west and 10 St NW on the east. The main 14 St NW roadway travels straight up the middle of Capitol Hill. Proximity to the University of Calgary and SAIT makes Capitol Hill a popular place for students.
