Canyon Meadows real estate is located in a southwest community is immediately north of Fish Creek Provincial Park, between Macleod Trail and 14 St SW, with Anderson Rd SW along the north side of the neighbourhood. It was named after the Canyon Meadows Golf Course, which is adjacent to 14 St SW. It opened in 1957 and was built along rolling terrain on the northern edge of the Fish Creek Valley.

About Canyon Meadows Real Estate
In the early 1960s, acreages began appearing along the southern edge of the area and by the 1970s, the community was almost completely developed with a few homes built in the 1980s and early 1990s. Canyon Meadows offers homes for every budget, from luxury homes and family bungalows to townhomes, apartment condos and adult communities.
Canyon Meadows homes are accessible by Macleod Trail (Highway 2) via Canyon Meadows Dr SW and Deerfoot Trail via Anderson Rd SW. Future plans will allow commuters to use Anderson Rd SW to access the Ring Road to the west of the neighbourhood. The LRT runs along the eastern edge of the community, with a station in the south east corner. Elbow Drive SW and 14 St SW are direct routes to downtown. There are two shopping centres in the neighbourhood, with Southcentre Mall and Avenida Malls just minutes away on the east side of Macleod Trail SW.
Canyon Meadows Community Features
Fish Creek Park, located along the southern edge of the Canyon Meadows neighbourhood,is a large urban park teeming with wildlife, a gentle creek and winding pedestrian and cycling paths. It is one of Calgary’s most precious urban parks.
Residents enjoy use of Canyon Meadows Pool and Recreation Centre, with the Trico Centre and Southland Leisure Centres both just 10 minutes away. The Canyon Meadows Community Association offers recreation and social programs, and maintains an outdoor hockey rink in the winter months.
There are four schools in the neighbourhood: Canyon Meadows Elementary (Spanish Immersion), St. Catherine’s Separate School, Robert Warren Junior High School and Dr. E.P. Scarlett Senior High School.
