#1. Glenbrook - SW Calgary
This is a mid-end residential neighbourhood established right before the oil boom in the 1970s. It is located in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, between 37 Street SW and Sarcee Trail SW to the west and 26 Avenue SW and Richmond Road SW to the south. Glenbrook real estate is mainly well-kept bungalows that are slowly being renovated and upgraded by buyers from the younger generation. The average price of homes for sale in Glenbrook Calgary is $30,000 higher than the city's average, but is still considered great value since downtown Calgary is only 15 minutes away and it has easy access to Canmore, Banff and the mountains.
