Scenic Acres Homes For Sale - Calgary

Scenic Acres is a northwest neighbourhood above the Bow River Valley with views of the Alberta Foothills and Rocky Mountains.  It is just off Crowchild Trail with Nose Hill Dr NW to the south and east and Stoney Trail NW on the west.  Development of this community began in the 1980s. 

Early residents who purchased their home as the neighbourhood was being developed were quick to recognize the need for a design improvement.  These first residents quickly formed an advocacy group which helped to create the smaller, safer community that Scenic Acres is today.  The Scenic Acres community association is still very active in this neighbourhood.

Scenic Acres is a community of 9,000 residents.  More than 90% of homes are single family detached with a small selection of townhomes and apartment condos.  There is a retirement facility and several adult 55 plus communities.  The average price of homes for sale in Scenic Acres is between $635,000 and $695,000.  Bungalows, split-levels and two storey homes are the popular styles in Scenic Acres.  Many homes around the periphery of the neighbourhood are built on view lots.  There are green spaces, playgrounds and amenities in Scenic Acres such as the Crowchild Twin Arenas.

Scenic Acres Community Features

There are several auto dealers in this area, too.  In addition to Crowchild Twin Arenas, families are close to the Crowfoot YMCA for swimming, fitness and social programs.  Students in Scenic Acres attend Arbour Lake School or Varsity Acres.  Senior high schools students go to Robert Thirsk or St. Francis Catholic Senior High School.
