Haysboro is a family-friendly community in southwest Calgary located between 14 St SW and Macleod Trail, and Heritage Dr SW and 98 Ave SW. It is bisected by Elbow Dr SW. The land was once farmed by the family of Senator Harry Hays, and the farm buildings stood on the southeast corner of 89 Ave SW and Elbow Drive until the early 1970s, at which time the Hays Farm Apartments were constructed.

Haysboro has two smaller shopping centres along Elbow Drive, with a tremendous variety of grocery stores and restaurants at Southland Crossing, Glenmore Landing and Southwood Corners. Southland Leisure Centre is less than five minutes west, and Heritage Park is adjacent to the community.
Schools in the neighbourhood include Haysboro Elementary, St. Gerard’s, Akiva Academy Private School, Woodman Junior High and Bishop Grandin Catholic Senior High School. Henry Wise Wood and Dr. E.P. Scarlett Senior High Schools also serve Haysboro students.
